My friend Peggy Evans was all for locating a heavy industrial business near the Rockwood athletic fields and residential neighborhoods because it would mean jobs. Apparently she is against a proposed apartment complex next to Wal-Mart in spite of the fact that the new construction would also mean jobs.

As chance would have it, I personally know two CEO's of railroads. Not one...TWO! Amazing, I know, but it also recently presented me with the opportunity to ask my friends what they thought about LocoDocs? The exact words one of them said as soon as I asked: "Ten foot pole!" That is his very polite way of saying, "No way in Hell." Both of my friends rattled off a litany of obvious indicators that LocoDocs was bad news, some of them the exact same reasons Mayor Jim Watts stated as his reasons for opposing any city involvement, "inadequate funding, no coherent business plan and no successful business history" being the most obvious.
