Several Issues have popped up in the comments that deserve their own dedicated discussion. I'll try to list them but feel free to mention your own area of concern.
1. The Roane County Industrial Board was presented with inaccurate information causing them to vote to oppose the Lighting Improvement Resolution. Not only that but the Board has refused to allow any presentation from SRSS. Decisions made in the presence of inaccurate information are even worse than decidions made in ignorance. This is easy to fix. The Industrial Board should immediately move to have a workshop on efficient lighting and hear from all sides.
2. Constables are good but have the potential abuse and generating bad press for Roane County. The County Commission has voted to have the position eliminated by state legislative action, and a lot of folks think there's middle ground here.
3. People still seem to think that the Lighting Improvement resolution is about a small group of astronomers not being able to see the Milky Way, instead of making Roane County a better place to live and saving a lot of money.
4. Tax payer money needs to be tracked at the Roane Alliance to make sure it doesn't get used for Chamber of Commerce purposes. The Chamber has its own funding process and promotes legislation that is inappropriate and possibly illegal for taxpayer money to be used for.
5. Ok, What else?
