As many of you may know, I am a sole practitioner attorney who, after practicing for three years in Knoxville, opened up a law office in Rockwood on September 1, 2007. I am currently looking for a legal assistant.
Experience in a law office would be nice, but is not necessarily required. The primary qualifications are that the applicant be professional, reliable, and hardworking. Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.

Update
Sometimes in advertising, you can get a lot for little or nothing. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
So far, I have not heard from anyone, so I'm beginning to think this is a case of the latter.
However, I'm still holding out hope that the "word" is still percolating through our community. So, if you or someone you know might be interested, please do not hesitate to email or mail (P.O. Box 192 Rockwood, 37854) a resume to me.
I had a few questions about the position. Although the "legal assistant" position will require dealing with legal documents, it does not necessarily require paralegal training or experience. It is a position that will involve many of the duties that were, in the past, encompassed in the term "secretary."

P.S. You would not have to report to work at 7:00 a.m. That is just me.
