guys like this to represent our state when they just reinforce all the bad stereotypes that still exist here and elsewhere about the South. Mr. Alexander should retire and teach piano lessons or do something equally less harmful than his current vocation is affording. This man is willing to spend billions on more socialized nukes that we don't need, can't fuel, and have no clue about what to do with the waste in the end, except bury it or move it around indefinitely.
But when it comes to a natural resource like "people" those same billions are just not worth it.
BTW Mr. Alexander, a UT study recently published states that the Medicaid program called TennCare has a 78% rating of good or excellent by it's enrollees, equal to satisfaction with private insurers, and it's very efficient. Not exactly a Ghetto. Link
We keep electing the same Democrats and Republicans because some of us do not have near the money to run against them. You have to buy an election nowadays. Once a candidate is elected, he or she spends more time raising money for their next election than representing the people that voted them into office.
Wouldn't it be nice if we had somebody who criticized both parties, got out and met the people, and actuallt had the money to compete with television, radio, and newspaper ads? And then add the fact that the candidate was NOT politically correct?
However, money runs elections. Money buys elections.
