Heart disease. As enlarged as it was, I am surprised his situation wasn't identified earlier. Frankly, I hated the sound of his voice, but by all accounts he was a nice guy.
Let's not forget the voice that opened the Tonight Show for many years and was Johnny Carson's sidekick, died last week. Ed McMahan gave years of his life entertaining. He was also a humanitarian, donating time to help Jerry Lewis with the Muscular Distrophy Foundation. He was 86.
