Tennessee Citizens for Wilderness Planning is sponsoring an informational meeting on the TVA coal-ash spill in Kingston at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship hall of the Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church, 1500 Oak Ridge Turnpike.
Have you ever heard of the Obed River or the Big South Fork Natural Area? The TCWP was the force behind both of those and a number of other environmental boons to Tennessee. Officially proclaimed a River Hero, Dr. Liane Russel is as close to environmental royalty as it gets in Tennessee, and yes I do know Nobel Laureate, Al Gore.
I'll do my best to attend
