Governor Bredesen Endorses Becky Ruppe
Kingston -- With American flags waving under a bright and sunny sky, on Wednesday, Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen pledged his full support of Morgan County Mayor Becky Ruppe in the upcoming election for state senate. A large crowd of supporters showed up at the Old Roane County Courthouse Gazebo to cheer and celebrate as Becky Ruppe was joined by Governor Phil Bredesen for the announcement.
"I believe once elected Becky Ruppe, will be the hardest working state senator Tennessee has ever known. It doesn’t matter your political party she will fight hard for you in the State Senate," stated Governor Bredesen, "I believe in Becky Ruppe and I will do all I can to see that she is elected to the State Senate, because we need leaders like Becky in Nashville."
"Becky Ruppe has a great understanding of the issues and she can relate to the voters like no other candidate I know," said Governor Bredesen, "Becky is above petty politics and truly wants to make a difference in the State Senate, and she will."
"Becky understands the problems that so many Tennessee families face and she will work hard to make Tennessee’s 12th district a better place to live and work," noted Bredesen.
An energetic Ruppe said she was overwhelmed to have the Governor in Roane County campaigning for her candidacy. “I want to thank Governor Bredesen for taking time out of his busy schedule to endorse me today. It means a lot to me and to my supporters.” added Ruppe.
