More as we figure it out.

We are not a business. Everybody is a volunteer for the music.

All shows are BYOB and Family Friendly. Most shows are $10. Doors open by 7 PM Music around 7:30

More folks are coming as we work out schedules. We want to bring our old friends back and fit in some new folks as well.

Got friends who want to be on our email list? Forward this to them and have them send us an email.

See you soon!

Things you should know...

We're family friendly, don't serve food or beverage but you're welcome and encouraged to bring your own. Most folks do. We are a listening venue so please be respectful of others and go outside if you smoke or vape or need to talk while the music is happening. See you there.

The Ladd Landing Listening Room has grown and evolved from one night a month at a local restaurant to several shows a month at Ladd Landing Clubhouse. It combines our serious affection for singer songwriters, live performance of original music, and socializing with our friends and families. We started it up in the Spring of 2012 on a whim. The idea was to have a family friendly atmosphere where we could chat and visit, share adult beverages if we so choose, and listen to some of the best music in Tennessee. So far it's working. We meet new people every week and folks are now driving out from Knoxville and other far flung places to experience their favorite artists in a small room with great acoustics. The only complaint we ever hear is "Why didn't you tell me about this sooner?"

The people who play for us are very good. They write and record songs and are excellent musicians. We tend to be heavy on Americana genre but we've had ex Allman Brother Johnny Neel and R&B virtuoso Jason Eskridge, so good music is good music. Most of our artists are suggested by the artists who have played for us on the theory that musicians know music. So far everyone has been better than good. We also pester artists we like after hearing them on stage at one venue or another and we try to get people you would have to go to the Bijou, Jammin' at Hippie Jack's music festival, or someplace like that to hear. They bring their CD's and other stuff for purchase.

We are a house concert. We take no money ourselves. The gate goes to the artists. That's how we get them to play for us.

The Ladd Landing Development sponsors our music series at the Ladd Landing Clubhouse in Kingston. The official address is 1100 Waterford Place, Ladd Landing, Kingston, TN but that may not tell your GPS how to find us.

The Clubhouse is in in Ladd Landing.

Here's one way to get there:

Take Exit 352 then left and go one half mile north (left off I 40 away from Kingston proper). Turn right into Ladd Landing at the 3 way stop. Waterford Place is about 50 yards on the right. Go up the hill on Waterford Place past a few offices and condos and the clubhouse will be about a half mile on the right.

Park on the road and walk up. Passengers who need it may be let off in front of the clubhouse. Let me know if you need anything. We'll take care of you.

when I 40 is screwed up here are the back road directions

Doors at 7 PM Music at 7:30 $15 BYOB

I 40 is screwed up so here are the official back road directions:

I use the maps app on my iphone to see where the back up starts. heading west it usually starts AFTER Lawnville road, except at prime drive time. Early morning and after 8 pm it's usually best to stay on I 40 and deal with it. If you get off at Lawnville, turn right and then immediately left onto Ladd Landing way. That will bring you into Ladd Landing the back way

If things are really screwed up, like say it's Friday and you are trying to get to Ladd Landing, get off at Buttermilk Road and go right. that will take you back under 40 and over to 70. Go right on 70 5 or 6 miles to the Kingston Elementary School and turn right onto Bailey street in front of the scholl. That tees into Lawnville. Go left and take the seconf right, Orchard something or other. Stay straight through the stop sign onto another Orchard something. You'll cross I 40 and hit a 4 way stop at Ladd Landing Way/Boulevard. Turn left and you'll be coming in the back door again.

Coming East: Exit at Crab orchard. Left over to 70 and then right. 70 joins 27 at the junkyard where you turn left (away from my house). At the big Y intersection on the far side of Rockwood go right toward Kingston. Left at the Rite Aide to Ladd Landing.

There! That should be confusing enough.
