Are we having fun yet?

Oh boy, it's going to be an interesting local election cycle. Republicans are investigating Democratic candidates and Democratic Candidates are investigating Republicans...goes with the turf.

Alva Moore is a diligent County employee and has to resent all the extra work and expense but he's a trooper. The Damon Lawrence article in the RCN hinted that perhaps, since Alva worked for Ken Yager he might drag his feet a bit in providing information on Ken. I can assure Damon that very few people who worked with Ken will drag their feet in providing information. It's just that we aren't exactly up to speed in the information age around here and things take time when you have to go up to the attic and hunt through boxes.

And I need help on something else concerning Ken Yager...Sources tell me that he has been demoted from his Dean position and is now simply an instructor at Roane State. I'm sure there will be a lot of smoke let out about what actually went on there, if that is true. Can anybody fill us in?

The RCN article is an interesting read, as much for what is NOT said as what is.

well..

The email that went out said Ken was running for public office and didn't feel he could run his RSCC department and his campaign at the same time, so he was stepping down and becoming an instructor.

Take it for what its' worth. There has been a rash of 'quittings' and strong rumors that janitorial, groundskeeping and security are all being fired as belt tightening moves. They think contract labor will be the cheaper answer in the long run.

I say sometimes you get what you pay for

Uh huh...

I say sometimes you get what you pay for

Rumors had been circulating for some time about Ken and his chances of remaining in that job. The flipside of that comment is that sometimes people don't earn their pay.

We were wondering how the email would be phrased. The bet was that it would say something about "spending more time with his family."
