The 2nd Smokin' the Water Tri will be in Kingston on June 15th. The event starts at 8am. It will begin with a swim at the Gravel Pits. Athletes will bike 20k from the park around Swan Pond Circle and back. They will finish with a 4 mile run along the lake ending at the pavilion.

Last year there were about 100 competitors. We should see more this year.

Be careful Saturday morning around the park entrance and in the Swan Pond area. The bicycles will be everywhere.

Come out and cheer on the racers.

I hope the driver was

I hope the driver was ticketed. There's no excuse for not giving cyclists safe room, not to mention the bad press this gives Roane County.

Was the Cyclist OK?

I'm trying to find out. I

I'm trying to find out. I sent a message to one of the athletes that was there.
