This is good news and bad news. Too bad this wasn't done 15 years ago when the problem was identified. Good that this beautiful spot on the Emory river will get cleaned up. There will be a big mess for several years but the next generation will have a greater Riverside park in Harriman.

It IS good...

I'm happy to see it. Given the length of time it took Mayor Chris Mason and the City Council to get this done, I commend them for their perseverance. It has paid off. It was gonna take some time once efforts became serious - that is inevitable with this kind of process. It could have been done earlier, as you say, WC, had any previous administrations started the process and persisted the way this administration has done. But getting it done now is far better than not tackling it at all. And it will provide benefits to Harriman and area for many years to come.
