Our go to guy for political heads up is Tom Humphrey. He does an excellent job of noticing what is important in Tennessee politics and sending it along. Every once in a while he puts the burning light of clarity on things in Nashville. This is one of them, as he runs down some of the little "not" scandals the Governor Haslam thinks the press shouldn't cover.

Imagine a high ranking elected leader wanting to tell the press what to report and what not to report. And trying to distance himself from any appearance of impropriety. Why I am amazed that this is happening.
It is politics as usual, from DC, to smalltown USA and it is not now, or ever acceptable.
The Fifth Column, all of them, need to drop the bias and report the facts and stories, even the ones that are distasteful to them personally.
