Jason Eskridge at Market Street Friday Nov 30Submitted by WhitesCreek on November 19, 2012 - 8:28am.
SOLD OUT! Jason Eskridge grew up in Roane County. He's coming home for a show at Market Street. Get ready! Folks, We have reservations for just over 40 people for Jason's show this coming Friday. We only hold 65 so email me as soon as you can with your reservation. If you are a "maybe" tell me that too... and please email me a cancellation if you made reservations and can't come. For those who haven't made up their minds here is some 411 on Jason...and more here. Roane County native son, Jason Eskridge brings his incredible talent to Market Street. Jason has spent time singing with Lyle Lovett and His Large Band, Jonny Lang, and a host of other well known artists. Come out and hear him play his original music as well as some familiar favorites. You'll need reservations for this one: stevescarb@aol.com And doing HIS song BYOB and BYO food... Social hour starts a 6 PM. If you haven't been to Market Street before it is a very small room and you'll be close, very close, to the artist. This will be an intimate experience and everyone has a front row seat. We encourage artists to share their experiences with us and tell us the stories behind the songs. There's no other place like it in East Tennessee. Nov. 30 Jason Eskridge (reserve this early or you won't get a seat) Jason is from Rockwood and sees this as his coming home show. The first time I saw him was at the TN Theater with Lyle Lovett. I would have loved to see him with Jonny Lang but missed that one. Jason Eskridge puts the Large in Lyle Lovetts Large Band and will tear Market Street apart and put it together again. This is an amazing opportunity to see one of Roane County's finest people in performance. Dec. 7 The man who started us off with great music, Scrappy himself, Jay Clark. I would say more but I don't need to. We'll fill the place on Pearl Harbor day and tell our grandchildren about it. Dec. 14 OMG we have gotten the Naughty Knots to come play for us. Millie, Griffin, and Sarah will show you what they mean by "Come on in the Kitchen Let Me Show You That I Love You"! I'll tell you more about this trio as we get closer to their date but here's a hint: Don't schedule anything that will get in the way of your listening pleasure on Dec 14. BTW, Sarah Pirkle's song, Come Home Sweet Boy, is number Three on the Bluegrass Chart and her husband Jeff Barbra has a # 1 on the November Billboard Sales Chart for "Silent Partner" on Rhonda Vincent's "Sunday Morning Singing" to go with his # 7 on Bluegrass Today Chart for "She's out of here, Cause I'm out of Hand" from Darrell Webb's new album. We'll look for Jeff and Sarah to play for us in the winter or spring show season. Dec. 28 Mean Mary James and her banjo will take over Market Street. Mary has an impressive resume and a song list that goes on forever. There you go. Mark your calendar and come on down. We'll tell you about next season soon.
