I never though I'd say that, but there it is. While I'm not sure that light itself is the only cause, it is one that is easy to deal with.

From US News and World Report:

A study released last month finding that breast cancer is nearly twice as common in brightly lit communities as in dark ones only added to a growing body of evidence that artificial light threatens not just stargazing but also public health, wildlife, and possibly even safety.

With Pinnacle Pointe as a shining example of how simple it is to use good lighting fixtures, there is no reason Roane County doesn't go ahead and follow 3000 communities all over the country and pass Lighting Improvement.

The benefits are too many and the downside is nonexistant.
