This will be one of the last beautiful winter nights for our public stargaze at TAO. Dress warmly and bring snacks to share.

Directions

TAO opens at 7 PM

A few inside presentations are planned at 7:30 PM. These include recent events in astronomy, our work with the NASA/JPL Night Sky Network.
We'll try some brainstorming outside under the stars afterwards. We'll get together around Owen's scope outside after the inside presentations.

From Owen

(And before you get upset, a "10" Dob" is a 10 inch Dobsonian telescope)

It will ideed be a great night at TOA. I'm eager to get my 10" Dob out and try for the best views of the year of the Orion Nebula, the Andromeda Galaxy, Mars, and Saturn. Dress warmly, bring a curious mind, and be prepared to have fun under the stars of Tamke Allen Observatory. I'm coming prepared to stay very late. There's lots to see.

If you've never seen Saturn through a live telescope, don't miss this.
