35 Days, 240 Blue Fundraising Emails, 28 Red

Submitted by onetahiti on October 20, 2010 - 7:42am.

Just for fun, I started keeping track of the political fundraising emails that were flocking to my mailbox. The count started September 15 and ended October 19, a total of 35 days.

The tally? 240 Blue (sparkline of Blue emails by day 9-15 through 10/19/10) vs. 28 Red.

Red appeals were not graphed since there were relatively so few. Peak emails per day reached 16 Blue, 4 Red, 20 total, all on September 30.

Interesting. I haven't

Interesting. I haven't tracked them at all, I delete them immediately.

One thing I have noticed, for me, is that I also get regular emails from the Florida Democratic Party but few or none from the Tennessee Democratic Party. I haven't voted in Florida for 10 years but they still want my help. I have voted in every TN election for the last 10 years and get ignored. Hmmm...

I received 15 blue Tennessee-related fundraising emails during this period, mostly for Roy Herron. There were 6 from the TNDP.

I received many blue fundraising emails from Florida, California, New York, Nevada, and elsewhere.

There are two reasons for this, OneT. One, you show up on voter rolls as having voted in Dems primaries and not R.

Two...R's get their money form corporations and rich people. They don't need us.
