I am on board with Coach Dooley. After watching the press conference I am impressed. Coach Dooley appears to be humble and full of integrity. Mike Hamilton has taken a beating the past 48 hours but I think he did his best to bring the best coach to UT. Mike offered Will Muschamp (Texas), Randy Edsel (UConn), Lovie Smith (Bears), Jon Gruden (Bucs), Kyle Wittingham (Utah), Troy Calhoun (Air Force), Gary Patterson (TCU), David Cutcliff (Duke)....so obviously he went after the biggest names in the business. Coach Dooley is the son of legendary Georgia coach Vince Dooley, and is by all means a Nick Saban disciple which is awesome. I know there are a lot of pessimists out there who were looking for a big name. However, all the big names were nobodies at one time or another. I like this hire and will support him 100%.

GO VOLS!

I agree Crappieman. I only

I agree Crappieman. I only knew that he was Vince's son before the interview, but he is a Southern boy with Southern roots who came across as having Southern humility, integrity and even humor!!! And his son is named "Peyton'!!!!

OK

Either Hamiltom is a genius or an idiot. We won't find this out until we see first, what type of recruits Dooley can lure this way, and second, how the team resonds and plays on Saturday.
UT fans will have him under a microscope. People I know are talking about just one thing; his 17 and 20 record as a head coach.
The jury is still out on this one.

His wife said that he

His wife said that he actually wasn't named after Peyton Manning, she just liked the name "Peyton". She actually wanted to name the first son that but her husband wasn't keen on the idea but he warmed up to it by the time the next son was born.

I hope Vol fans will give

I hope Vol fans will give him a fair shot!
