Farkleberry

Taken this evening in the waning natural light.

I love these native plants.

I love these native plants. They're in the blueberry/apple family and look so much better than nursery plants. I can't understand why people don't use them for landscaping.

So that's what those are!

They grow all around here. :)

yes they do!

So why do people go down to the nursery and buy boxwoods or whatever?

The natives are beautiful! And they produce edible berries loaded with antioxidants...

and OK, "Farkleberry" isn't exactly what the marketing department wanted...but they are also called "sparkleberries" in certain horticultural circles.

Me? I like "Farkle"
