WOW! I hope this thing didn't bite you!
What a neat basidiomycete! I know - I'll get called on use of the now obsolete name, but it's so fun to say.
This puppy makes a very interesting photo. All the recent moisture keeping things soaked is why we've been blessed by the emergence of this critter. Which brings up one sad aspect of it...
As we celebrate the coming demise of pollens in the air, we must be aware that the passage of seasons brings us to the time of lots of fungi in the air. Given the moisture of the recent weeks, the ground will be full of these monsters, and all sorts of fungal puffballs. They're fun to kick... but can also release quadrizillions of spores into the air.
C'est la vie!

When I first glanced at
When I first glanced at this, I thought it was some kind of octopus or squid type thing. lol Our yard is being taken over by the monster's also.
I have seen four yards in my
I have seen four yards in my neighborhood with either full or half circles of the white umbrella shaped mushrooms/toadstools (I don't know the scientific name!)in the last two days. The wet weather and humidity, I guess, brought on the surge!
Wow...I love Fairy Circles
These fungi have large spores that aren't readily carried by wind. Their bodies are small but feed heavily on certain nutrients in the soil to the point that they deplete needed ones and, as the spores drop to the ground under the caps, they can only grow in new ground. This means that the new mushrooms grow in an expanding circle from year to year. Fairies aren't really involved but I like them anyway.
Awesome! I've never seen
Awesome! I've never seen such a nice looking giant mushroom. Is it harmful? If it's dangerous, we may contact the termite control company for handling this four yards. I've never thought that this do exist. Like the post and thanks for sharing this page.
Calling a pest control company is the last thing you should do
And in fact your post looks like spam to me. I'll leave it for now.
