There I was, standing on a nekkid woman...Submitted by WhitesCreek on February 14, 2009 - 3:20pm.
She looked familiar, but I stepped aside quickly off of her, um, parts. I don't usually make a habit of standing on nude women, but this one was a mural painted on the floor of my new favorite cafe by it's owner. Friday night is ethnic food night and it was more than delicious. The Artist Corner has been added to the ad links on the left. It is well worth a visit.

Made me think of my nephew, an award winning starving artist. The restaurant is a great idea. I'll stop by for breakfast next time I go through Crossville. Thanks.
Call me weird...but I don't think I could enjoy eating breakfast while looking at a picture of a nekkid woman. I'll just continue on down the road to the nearest Cracker Barrel.
If you can't bear the thought of looking at a hand-rendered reproduction of a classic work of art while eating a breakfast at a restaurant owned by a local artist and cooked with care by someone who's livelihood depends upon the support of the members of the community, then, by all means, Cracker Barrel is the ideal destination.
If, however, you feel that small business still serves to benefit the community and that constantly contributing your hard-earned money to the benefit of a multi-million dollar chain that butters the proverbial bread in someone else's community, then perhaps broadening your horizons might not be such a bad idea.
Personally, I've seen enough antique signs and rusty pitchforks to get me through. I'll have my eggs over Boticelli any day.
She's in one of the back rooms and you hardly notice her, until you notice her. A Botticelli reproduction I think.
The atmosphere of the Artist Corner in Crossville speaks COMMUNITY. The food is wonderful - everything is from fresh, local, organic ingredients (when available), and prepared by talented chefs, The Neeleys. Crossville is so lucky to have them call this community HOME!! And, all of the art work is quite varied in style, from the classics to the more contemporary, painted by the vary talented Eric Buechel, and very tastefully presently. I found nothing offensive. I will be a repeat customer to this local haven of culture and stimulating conversation and excellent food. BRING IT ON, CROSSVILLE!!!
