It is our civic duty as citizens to educate ourselves, discuss with other people, and vote for candidates as if our future depends on it.

It does!

If you are voting today how about taking time to thank the people who are working at your polling places. Without them elections wouldn't happen or matter. They will receive a paltry pay check for serving us and deserve our respect and consideration.

I voted early at the Rockwood Community Center and was impressed as always by the professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist those who needed it, regardless of political persuasion. This is why democracy works.

Remember that at the end of the day, we are all in this together.
