Dennis Ferguson was reelected Road Supervisor with a majority of voters supporting him.

David Morgan will be replaced by Teresa Kirkham backed candidate, Molly Hartup, as Property Assessor. Sammy Sams had a decent showing for second place. With no runoff Roane County will once again have elected an important county position with less than a majority vote, 39% in this case.

Republican incumbent Kent Calfee will face Tyler Overstreet in the race for State Rep in District 32. Corey Stafford won the Democratic Primary. Corey is a great young man who is only 20 years old and a student at Roane State in Chemical Engineering.

Judging from the math there are a large number of registered Republicans who have strong enough doubts about Calfee that they withheld their vote in the primary. Overstreet's name was not on the primary ballot since there is no independent primary in Tennessee.
