The economic benefit of public open spaces and unspoiled forest trails is immense. Good developers know this and build it in to their projects. Bad developers just want to maximize their upfront take and don't want you to know these things.

There are a number of trails and greenways already in Roane County, such as the Black Oak Ridge trails near K-25. There is another huge project in the works at Gallagher Point in Roane County and a new project being developed near Rockwood that will be announced in the coming months.

Get out there and hike, bike, and enjoy Roane County!
