I've been pointing this out for years, along with the dichotomy of the GOP being vehemently against family planning and for every person having an arsenal of weaponry. Think about that for a minute, Republican voters, and tell me you can sleep well at night.

There should be a robotics

There should be a robotics tax to replace revenue lost by all employees who were replaced by robots. Income tax, medicaid, and social security.

I remember all the science

I remember all the science fiction books I read as a younger man that predicted this future. What they didn't predict is a self serving to the point of suicidal political party owned and run by single minded sociopaths. It's like no one who has real power is asking the question, "If we do this, what happens in the future?" And the corollary, "How close is the future?"

They don't even seem to care

They don't even seem to care about the future of their own descendents.

I heard a similar quote as yours pertaining to the advancing of technology, "The question is not, can we do it, but should we do it?"

Lost Medicaid Funding

To date, the failure to expand Medicaid / TennCare has cost the State of Tennessee ? in lost federal funding.
