Stay away from Grape Holly

Stay away from Grape Holly (Mahonia aquifolium ).

It may be native, but River Oats (Chasmanthium latifolium) can certainly take over a suburban garden.

I have to admit I like Periwinkle, but yes it can take over.

I think privet and

I think privet and honeysuckle are tied for the worst of the worst in my view. I battle periwinkle on a daily basis and I planted it 20 years ago out of ignorance.
