The previous Christmas day record high flow for the Emory River at Oakdale was 18,100 set in 1949. The current instantaneous flow is 47,300 cubic feet per second. The average flow of the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon is 10,000 to 15,000 cubic feet per second.

This equates to 23.7 feet on the Emory gauge. 27 feet is the official flood stage. I predict we'll see flood stage later tonight.
