Let's face it. Our elected representatives have long since turned their backs on the American consumer in favor of corporate profits and campaign contributions. EPB is the monster success story of the Chattanooga municipal internet provider. EPB provides its customer with the fastest internet in the world at a very reasonable cost. It is a fine example f government doing a great job of serving its citizens. This horrifies TN Congresswoman Blackburn, Home-Ec major from Mississippi.

U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., introduced legislation in Congress earlier this year to block the FCC order allowing EPB and the city of Wilson from expanding their broadband services. Blackburn called the FCC ruling "a troubling power grab from unelected Washington bureaucrats."

I suggest you disregard what the congresscritters say and read this article. Apparently they feel that excellent government services must be stamped out at all cost, especially to we the consumers...

Marsha Blackburn is from somewhere else, we should also note. She's inserted herself into the internet service for East Tennessee on behalf of the the big corporations she represents. Where is our actual Congressman, Chuck Fleischmann?
