After reading more about the Vandy study I conclude that the headline is way off base. You would think that since pre-K advantages fade away by third grade we should do away with it as a waste of resources. What we should be asking is what is wrong with First Second and Third Grades in that they aren't utilizing and gaining from the benefits of Pre-K?
