KINGSTON, TENN. — While the University of Tennessee prepares to take on the Western Carolina Catamounts in gridiron action this Saturday evening, final preparations are also taking place at nearby Roane County High School as the Yellow Jackets Marching Band takes advantage of a rare opportunity to perform with UT’s famous Pride of the Southland Band on game day.

“This is quite an honor,” said RCHS band director Zack Williamson. This year’s band boasts nearly 200 students who are looking forward to walking the Vol Walk route, enjoying a bit of tailgating — and performing in Neyland Stadium.
