Worthy!

These folks have saved a number of people over the years. Support them!

They saved me and my mother

Some of us may remember the snow storm that struck our region last February with an extended electrical and phone outage, tree-blocked roads, and sub-freezing temperatures.

The brave volunteers of West Roane VFD helped many survive the storm, including me and my 90-year-old mother.

These amazing heroes worked round the clock clearing roads and bringing assistance to the homebound, all at great personal risk from the storm, the downed lines, the bitter temperatures, and the dangerous roads.

We are only alive today because of their help.

I remember those days...

And they worked very hard, very long hours to make sure their constituents were safe. Often at their own risk.

RB

Hi, RB!

I consider myself fortunate to live in this place. So many helped in the county during the storm--the electric company, fire departments, the rescue squad, medical personnel, churches.... We are so thankful to be surrounded by such caring people.

We won't be able to get to

We won't be able to get to the supper but it was very easy to donate online for these worthy folks. We'll be safer if they have the best equipment for the job.
