Legalizing Ability to Carry a Gun Onto Someone Else's Property vs Property Owner's Rights...What "Compromise" Is Possible Here?

There is no compromise position here. What are they talking about? I fully respect your right to carry a weapon right up to my property line. At that point it becomes my decision not your right.

My position is very clear on this. Your rights end where mine begin, and mine end where yours begin. You post clearly that you forbid firearms on your property, then it is only polite for me to honor that if I have business on your property. Should this be controlled by law? It already is, the crime is Trespassing, and you can have me thrown off your property or arrested.

If I have a firearm in my vehicle, and I inform you that it is there and ask your permission to remain, then we have entered into a gentleman's agreement and we both abide with the decision made.

Why would you wish to bring law enforcement and the judicial system into this when courteous civility should suffice?
