Those with a Roane County connection are:

Gary Aytes, Wartburg, Tenn., a central office supervisor in the Roane County School System;

Wayne Honeycutt, retired superintendent of the Loudon County School System;

Elizabeth Rose, Kingston, principal of Cherokee Middle School in Roane County;

Keevin Woody, Kingston, principal of Midway Elementary, also in the Roane County School System.

The rest after the jump...

Donald Andrews, Ashboro, N.C., superintendent of the Randolph, N.C., School System;

Phillip Burchfield, superintendent of Clinton, Miss., school system;

Eric Ely, superintendent of Southbridge, Mass., schools;

Mary Ann Gemmill, a Clinton, Tenn., native who just retired as chief administrative officer for the Naples, Fla., school system;

John Green, Suwanee, Ga., principal of Madison (Ala.) High School;

Donald Hopper, superintendent of the Hardeman County, Tenn., school system;

The School Board will interview these ten April 11, 12, and 13 and vote to narrow the list to three finalists. Those three will be interviewed at the end of April and the Board will then vote.

A cloud follows one applicant.

This type of stuff goes with the job wherever you are, but it can certainly cloud a good person's reputation. Keep an open mind.
