Roane County Joint Information Center Release: Link...

(Does anyone else find that name funny?)

"All of the contaminants

"All of the contaminants reported to date, including arsenic, would most likely be removed from the water by the normal treatment processes that remove dirt and soil from water."

Emphasis added.

Haven't been able to eat many fish from area waters for a long time, due mostly (I think) to mercury pollution (also from the coal-fired power plants) and in some cases PCBs (not sure where they come from except illegal dumping).
